Trustees
Mark Allen is the Chairman of the board of trustees of Hangberg Educational Trust. Allen is a co-founder and director of the BETA Foundation. This Foundation aims to improve access of poorer communities to quality education in South Africa.
Janap Davids is a trustee of Hangberg Educational Trust. Davids is the principal of Wavecrest Edu-centre in Hangberg. She has been involved with Wavecrest and most Early Childhood Development initiatives in Hangberg for more than 30 years.
Carol Fisher is a trustee of Hangberg Educational Trust. Fisher is the Treasurer of Sentinel Primary School in Hangberg. She is very close to the needs of young children in Hangberg and supports these needs as far as possible.
Liz Huckle is a trustee of Hangberg Educational Trust. She is the Chairperson of Hout Bay Community Health Forum and has been an active Lion’s member for more than 30 years. Huckle is also closely involved in various childhood and health care interventions in the Hout Bay communities.
Evelyn Masemola is a trustee of Hangberg Educational Trust. Masemola serves on the Governing Body of Sentinel Primary School. She is a strong community leader with a passion for the improvement of educational services provided in the community.
Michael Schröder is a trustee of Hangberg Educational Trust. Schröder is a past-president of AmKap, the German speaking Rotarian Club in Cape Town. Rotary Club Am Kap together with its international and local links are the key funders and supporters of Hangberg Educational Trust.
Volunteers
Tania Gray is a co-founder of Hangberg Educational Trust. Gray has been involved in charity work in the local Hout Bay communities since 2009. She believes that a significant impact can happen through loving, nurturing and educating disadvantaged children.
Marquerithe Schreuder is a co-founder of Hangberg Educational Trust. Schreuder has a deep interest in young child brain development. She believes that a safe, nurturing, structured environment unlocks amazing potential in children forever.
